JOGJA—Ekpor komoditas mebel di Jogja masih terpuruk hingga triwulan pertama tahun ini akibat krisis ekonomi global di Eropa dan Amerika.
Para eksportir kini mulai menyasar pasar di negara-negara Asia agar dapat bertahan.
Kepala Dinas Perindustrian Perdagangan dan Koperasi (Disperindagkop) DIY Riyadi Ida Bagus, kepada Harian Jogja Rabu (9/5) menyatakan, hingga triwulan pertama tahun ini secara umum nilai ekspor mebel ke luar negeri masih pada angka US$3,5 juta hingga US$4 juta.
“Secara umum masih sebesar itu, angka persisnya saya tidak hapal, masih sama dengan periode yang sama 2011,” ungkap Riyadi yang baru resmi menjabat Kepala Disperindagkop DIY dua hari lalu.
Bila krisis ekonomi di Eropa dan Amerika tak ada tanda-tanda membaik, nilai ekpsor pada akhir tahun dipastikan bakal anjlok.
Saat ini ekspor produk mebel dari Jogja terus menurun. Pada 2010 nilai ekspor produk ini mencapai US$18,19 juta kemudian turun hanya US$16,38 juta pada tahun lalu. (ali)
